Officer Smith began working part-time for the Southern Chester County Regional Police Department in August 2017. He has a degree in Criminal Justice from West Chester University and in 2012 he graduated from Delaware County Community College Police Academy. In 2013 he began his career in law enforcement for West Chester University and continued to work there full-time up until he was hired by The Southern Chester County Regional Police Department. Officer Smith enjoys mountain biking with friends so much that in 2017 he decided to become certified with the International Police Mountain Bike Association (IPMBA). Detective Smith received a promotion to Detective Sergeant in 2024.
