Sergeant Ryan Kushner
Sergeant Kushner became an officer with the New Garden Township Police Department in 2014 and has served there until the formation of the Southern Chester County Police Department. He went to college at Temple University, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in History. Sergeant Kushner received the 2016 Meritorious Service Award for apprehending a triple murder suspect from West Virginia as the suspect left New Garden Township and entered Avondale in his vehicle. He also has been the recipient of three DUI Enforcement Awards.
Sergeant Kushner became the Accreditation Manager for SCCRPD early 2023 and was able to grant the department re-accreditation for another cycle. He currently lives in Chester County, Pennsylvania with his wife and two sons. In Ryan’s spare time, his favorite thing to do is watch the Philadelphia Eagles.
