Baltimore Pike / Newark Road Intersection

Overview

The Baltimore Pike / Newark Road Intersection project is a critical transportation project in New Garden Township due to the current alignment issues of Newark Road and the need to enhance the intersection's operational capacity and safety for all users, vehicles and pedestrians.  Another recognized need was to improve the conveyance of stormwater, where unmitigated runoff from the upper intersection area causes routine flooding issues in the lower basin area of the Village of Toughkenamon.
