New Garden Township is participating in a watershed orientation plan for controlling the Total Maximum Daily Loads of pollutants, bacteria, and sediments in its streams. Known as the Christina Basin TMDL Implementation Plan, the goal is for all municipalities to work in concert to clean the waters that flow into the Christina River and Delaware Bay.
