Since its inception in 2005, the New Garden Growers Market has been a beloved part of our local community. Hundreds of us flock there each Saturday to stock up on fresh, truly local food products that nourish us throughout the week. If you haven't had a chance to visit, be sure to check it out before the end of the season (Saturday, Nov. 23).
Unfortunately, the future of the market is in jeopardy and we need your help to keep the community staple thriving. The market is in need of a manager (or a small group of managers) to coordinate it next year. This volunteer role involves recruiting and communicating with vendors, coordinating with the township and health department, and managing the finances to ensure all expenses (liability insurance, signage, etc.) are paid and up-to-date. The current managers are more than happy to work with you to ensure a smooth transition. Due to life changes, they are no longer able to run the market and want to see it passed on to capable hands who can continue to grow it.
