New Garden Community Day
Celebrate with us! Please make plans to attend Community Day / Feria Del Pueblo on Saturday, October 5th, 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at New Garden Park. What to expect...There are several new activities coming to Community Day this year! Such as a Hayride and a Hay Maze. Not only that but we also have activities like pumpkin painting, scarecrow making, moon bounces, facepainting, a scavenger hunt, and over 30+ local vendor booths to visit! Artists of Landenberg Studio Tour9 Open Studios, 26 Artists, all in Landenberg, PA Saturday & Sunday, October 5 & 6, 10 am to 4 pm Artists of Landenberg are opening their studios to the public for a free self-guided studio tour. Each of the 9 host studio artists are within an easy and scenic drive to each other and will be featuring their original artwork along with one or more guest artists or craftspersons. This includes paintings, jewelry, wood works, ceramics, glass, notecards, leather goods, and prints.
Get your “studio passport” at any studio and have it stamped by six studios and receive a free cupcake or Creekside coffee at the Landenberg Store. What's New on CHESCOBUS... CHESCOBUS is Chester County’s Public Transportation System comprised of SCCOOT and Coatesville LINK. The bus service is managed by the Transportation Management Association of Chester County (TMACC). CHESCOBUS is funded by the PA Department of Transportation with support of the Chester County Commissioners and municipal partners.

Used Bicycle & Sewing Machine DriveSponsored by Chester Co. Solid Waste Authority Patti Lynn, Recycling Resources Manager Pedals for Progress/Sewing Peace, in its continuing effort to recycle unwanted items properly, is having a used bike and sewing machine collection sponsored by Chester Co. Solid Waste Authority.
Anyone with an adult or child’s bicycle in repairable condition is urged to donate their bike to this worthy cause. We do not accept “bikes for parts” or disassembled bikes. We also accept working portable sewing machines and sewing notions (no fabric, please). Bikes and sewing machines can be dropped off rain or shine: Saturday October 20, 2024, West Goshen Municipal Complex, 1025 Paoli Pike (entrance on Five Points Rd). Kennett Library is a regional public library open to all and serving the Townships of Kennett, East Marlborough, Pennsbury, Pocopson, Newlin, New Garden, West Marlborough and the Borough of Kennett Square. We provide a place for the youngest to the oldest and everyone in between and serve people of all incomes, ages, and needs - for free. Kennett Library’s mission is to ignite imagination, enrich lives, and create community with a vision to be the catalyst for a community of lifelong learning and discovery. We connect people with reading, information and technology to expand curiosity, explore interests, and discover passions. We provide a friendly, helpful, stimulating environment that is built on free access to library resources and the exchange of information. We are a place to meet, a place to learn, to teach, to share, to connect, a place to build, to expand horizons. We offer free in-person and virtual programs for children, teens, and adults. Programs include ESL classes, art workshops, family storytime, nature camp, book groups, webinars, author talks, and more. Kennett Library is stepping into a new season with a calendar full of programs and activities. September, October, and November are filled with programs and events that will fuel the community’s passions and inspirations. Some of the many programs the Kennett Library are The Veteran's Experience, Exposition of Alebrijes, Screening of the film Single Use Planet, Halloween Craft Day, Chalk the Walk, Rea Redifer: Art Exhibit from private collections, etc. Check out the full list of fall programs put on by the Kennett Library.

Hurricane Helene Relief EffortsPut together by New Garden Flying Field Staff & Volunteers Thank you to everyone that donated, volunteered, and offered their help to support this amazing effort put on by Jon Martin and the staff/volunteers at the New Garden Flying Field! We were able to move 22,000 lbs of donations from New Garden Flying Field to NC to help aid in the relief efforts.

Township Office Closed The Township Administrative Building will be closed on Monday, October 14th, 2024, in observance of Columbus Day. We will return to normal operations on Tuesday, October 15th, 8A-4P.
For any issues on Township maintained roads, please call our office at 610-268-0883 and press 2 for the on-call Public Works employee. For PennDOT maintained roads, please contact them at 1-800-FIX-Road. You can also contact the Southern Chester County Regional Police Department's non-emergency number at 610-268-3171 or 911 for an emergency.
