The Township Administrative Building will be closed today, July 18th, 2024, due to a power outage. We are expected to get our power back this afternoon. Township Staff will be working from home and can be reached at office@newgarden.org. 

The New Garden Park is closed until further notice due to down trees blocking pathways. 

At this point, all roads maintained by New Garden have been checked at least twice. There were limbs, branches, trees, and debris on almost every single road we have. All major tree branches, limbs, and trees, that we can clear, have been cleared. There are a number of roads that have trees on them but have wires involved. These roads have been closed and will have to remain closed until the wires have been secured.

The following roads are closed due to wires being down. Please seek alternate routes of travel.

**Egypt Run Road - between Penn Green and Newark Roads**
**Egypt Run Road - between Newark and Sunny Dell Roads**
**Cedar Springs between Pemberton and the dead end, including the intersection with Trillium**
**Pemberton - between Columbine Drive and Mill Road**
**Starr Road - between Penn Green Road and Pelham Drive**

Please do not drive around any road closed signs or barricades and be patient as crews are hard at work restoring power and removing trees and debris to reopen the roads.

A large portion of the Township is still without power including all eight of our traffic signals. They are all running on generator power and are being checked periodically to ensure they are functioning properly.

For issues on township-maintained roads please call 610-268-0883 and press 2 for the on-call person. For PennDOT maintained roads, please contact them at 1-800-FIX-ROAD. You can also contact the Southern Chester County Regional Police Department at 610-268-3171 or 911 for an emergency.
