Mason Dixon Trail- Public Workshop

New Garden News Flash Posted on May 16, 2024 | Last Updated on May 16, 2024

Join us for a free virtual public workshop on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 7PM and learn about an exciting new plan to highlight the heritage of the Mason-Dixon / Arc Corner Region as explored through the sites and landscapes of 4 adjoining townships. New Garden Township is participating in a multi-municipal planning effort alongside Elk, Franklin, and London Britain Townships to develop the Mason Dixon/Arc Corner Heritage Interpretation and Connectivity Plan. The plan focuses on identifying locations for possible heritage centers and interpretive sites that can be connected by walking, cycling, and driving routes. Together, these historic resources will create a network of sites that will help to cohesively tell the story of the Mason Dixon Line and Arc Corner, highlighting the unique heritage of local communities. Come tell us the sites and stories that are important to you and learn more about the plan while you’re at it!

The project team includes planners and experts from the Brandywine Conservancy, Heritage Strategies, and Miller Designworks. Funding provided in part by the Chester County Planning Commission Vision Partnership Program.
