Pennsylvania Utility Company- Public Hearing

New Garden News Flash Posted on January 08, 2026

On Thursday, January 29th, the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) will hold two additional public input hearings located at the New Garden Township Building on the proposed water and wastewater rate changes by Pennsylvania American Water Company (AWC). While AWC does not currently service Township residents, the proposed rate change could impact existing Aqua PA wastewater ratepayers in the future, given the recent merger announcement of the American Water Company and Essential Utilities.

The two hearings are planned for 1 PM and 6 PM, respectively, with more details available at the following link: https://www.puc.pa.gov/press-release/2025/consumer-alert-puc-to-hold-two-additional-public-input-hearings-on-rate-changes-proposed-by-pennsylvania-american-water-company.
